Maurine M. Delaney, age 86, passed away on Sunday, October 27, 2019, at Franciscan Health in Indianapolis. She was born in Christian County, Kentucky on February 23, 1933, the daughter of Ewing Lee & Beulah Mae (Morris) Hancock.

Maurine was a homemaker, spending most of her life as a loving wife and mother. She loved the Lord, spending many hours reading the Bible and praying for others. She was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church in Vicksburg.

She is survived by her sisters, Mary Cavaletto of Greenwood, Peggy Black of Clarksville, TN, and Joyce Sapp of Waynesboro, GA; her brothers, Larry Hancock of Evansville, Paul Hancock of Hopkinsville, KY, Anthony Hancock of Charlottesville, IN, and Neal Hancock of Charlottesville, IN; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles R. Delaney; her son, Roland Delaney; two sisters, Lucille Tillman, Virginia Samsil, and Carolyn Hancock; a brother, Raymond Hancock; and two infant brothers, Ewing Lee Hancock, Jr. and Clayton Hancock.

Funeral service will be held at Bethel Baptist Church in Vicksburg at 11 A.M. on Thursday, October 31, 2019, with Pastor Doug Cassel officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Linton.

Visitation will be held on Thursday at the church from 10 A.M. until the time of service.
