Mary Kathleen "Kathy" Priest, age 69, of Linton, passed away on Thursday morning, June 28, 2018, at Greene County General Hospital in Linton. She was born in Linton on July 8, 1948, the daughter of Kenneth James & Dorcus M. (Birch) Nolan.

She was a 1966 graduate of Linton-Stockton High School. She married her high-school sweetheart, Steve Priest September 17, 1966, at age 18, in Wichita, Kansas. She graduated from Ivy Tech Community College with a degree in computer programming.

Kathy worked as a receptionist at Dr. Homer Moore's office, as a computer programmer for Sony DAC, and held her Real Estate License, selling for Century 21 in Linton.

She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, sewing, stained glass working, pottery, playing guitar, and had a passion for learning new things.

She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church in Linton, St. Anne's Alter Society, and was the first fundraising coordinator for St. Jude's Children's Hospital in the Greene County Area.

Kathy is survived by her husband, Steven L. Priest of Linton, her daughter, Heather (John) Yung of Linton, a granddaughter, Haley Yung, and several nieces and nephews. She also had her special caregivers, Kathy Feltner, Phyllis Bohnam, Nancy Cooksey, Angie Cliver, Megan Nicol, and Nancee Nicol.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, James P. Nolan, and a sister, Jane Sollars.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 A.M. on Tuesday, July 3, 2018, with Father Biju Thomas officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Linton.

Visitation will be held at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton on Monday from 4 - 8 pm with Rosary at 7 pm, and Tuesday at the funeral Home from 9 - 10 am.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Linton Community Food Pantry through the funeral home.
