Martha Jane Glover

Martha Jane (Heaton) Glover, 92, of Bloomfield, passed away on Sunday, May 13, 2018, at Glenburn Home in Linton. Born May 30, 1925, in Bloomfield, she was the daughter of Dexter and Blanche (Bender) Heaton.

Martha was a secretary for the Bloomfield High School and a member of the Bloomfield United Methodist Church.

Surviving relatives include: her grandsons, Graham B. Glover (Alison) of Washington D.C. and Gordon J. Glover (Ashley) of Ocala, Florida; one granddaughter, Greer Galavis (Christopher) of Ocala, Florida; two sisters, Lois Kirchoff and Marjorie McIntyre both of Bloomfield; one brother John Heaton of Shelbyville; and her great grandchildren, Taylor Galavis, Gray Glover, Henry Galavis, Harper Galavis, Bennett Glover, Dyer Galavis, Hannah Grace Glover, Elsa Glover and Emmeline Glover.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Guy J. Glover on September 11, 1992, two sons, Terry Glover and Donald Glover, a daughter, Sandy Glover and one brother, Donald Heaton.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 19, 2018, at the Bloomfield United Methodist church, with Rev. Graham Glover officiating. Interment will follow in Grandview cemetery in Bloomfield.

Public visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield and 1 hour prior to services Saturday at the church.

The family asks that all memorial contributions be made to the Guy Glover Scholarship in care of Farmers & Mechanics Federal Savings and Loan.
