Lois Irene Vandeventer
/Lois Irene Vandeventer, 82, of Bloomfield, passed away on Saturday, September 28, 2019 at IU Health Bloomington Hospital. Born July 24, 1937 in Bloomington, she was the daughter of Elza Albert and Flossie Ora (Petro) Polley.
She was a homemaker and attended Gethsemane Tabernacle in Bloomfield.
Surviving relatives include: her children, Joyce Fay Quillen, Richard Quillen, Velma Pauline Newsom, Ruth Ilene Roberts, Judith Rose McDougalle, Fred Quillen, Randy Lee Quillen, Harold Wayne Quillen and Greg Lee Quillen; two stepsons, Charlie L. Vandeventer and Cornelius L. Vandeventer; Thirty-nine grandchildren, thirty –two great grandchildren and three great, great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two daughters, Belinda Ann Quillen and Martha Louise Utterback, one son, Elzie Ray Quillen, brothers, Grover and John Crouch, 3 ½ brothers, Don Chandler, Woodrow Robbins and Jesse L. Polley, two sisters, Janet Polley and Evelyn Petro and her parents.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 2, 2019 at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield, with Fred Quillen officiating.
Public visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday and 1 hour prior to services on Wednesday at the funeral home.
