Lexie Warren Crowe
/Lexie Warren Crowe, 80, passed away Sunday, May 10, 2020. He was born September 18, 1939 in Linton, Indiana to Lexie Bernard and Ines Louise (Hayes) Crowe, both deceased.
Lexie is survived by his wife, Sandra Sue (Jeffers) Crowe, whom he married August 31, 1962. He is survived by two sons: Steven Louis Crowe (Aleta) and Randall Lex Crowe (Shelley) both of Bloomfield; five grandchildren: Matthew Crowe, Bloomfield; Riki ann Crowe, Indianapolis; Hannah Crowe, Amber (Crowe) Bucher (Caleb) and Christian Crowe all of Bloomfield. He has one sister, Loretta Neidigh, Ellettsville; two brothers, Ronald Crowe (Evelyn), Bloomington and Billy Crowe (Pam), Bloomfield and several nieces and nephews. He has one uncle, Glenn (Doc) Crowe (Dova), Bloomfield; one aunt, Sara Jane Briones, Jasonville and two aunts-in-law, Nina Crowe, Bloomfield and Viola Crowe, Solsberry.
Lexie graduated from Bloomfield High School in 1957. After graduating from Electronic Institute in Kansas City, Missouri, he worked for Westinghouse and ABB in Bloomington. He traveled extensively for his work throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, Brazil and Puerto Rico, retiring in 1998 as a Senior Design Engineer. Lexie enjoyed his job, mainly working on breakers in electrical substations. He created many innovative electrical applications for his company and obtained several patents. Lexie lived his entire life in Greene County, Indiana. After retiring, he joined his sons in their farming operation. He spent many joyful hours on the farm with his family.
Arrangements are entrusted with Jenkins Funeral Homes. Private graveside rites will be conducted at Grandview Cemetery in Bloomfield.
