Karen Sue McDonald

Karen Sue McDonald, age 77, of Linton, passed away on Wednesday evening, April 6, 2022, in Linton, due to injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident. She was born in Linton on April 21, 1944, the daughter of Francis D. and Ruth E. (Stark) Harp.

Sue was a 1962 graduate of Linton-Stockton High School. She served as the Greene County Auditor for eight years, working in the office for twenty-seven years, and as the current secretary for the Mayor of Linton for over seven years. Sue served as Greene County Vice-Chair person for the Democratic Party for nearly thirty years.

She was a member of the VFW Linton Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed shopping, taking care of others, and loved her time with family and friends.

She is survived by a brother, Monty Harp of Bloomfield, children, Dolly Gentry (Jeff) of Linton and Keith McDonald (Tracy Keen) of Linton; eight grandchildren, Tabitha (Jeramy) Pope, Danielle (Josh) Goodman, Dyan (Rich) Wilkes, Adam Baughman, Krystal (Jathan) Wright, Kanitra (Jayce) Troup, Adrena McDonald, and Justin McDonald; thirteen great-grandchildren; companion, Joe John Spinks; and several nieces and nephew.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, Louis Voisin and Paul McDonald; son, Tim Voisin; infant son, Louis Voisin; infant granddaughter, Katrina McDonald; and brother, David Harp.

Funeral service will be held at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, April 12, 2022, with Ron Henwood officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Linton.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 4-8 P.M., and Tuesday from 10 A.M. until the time of service.
