Ida Mae Burger (Barton), 98 of Linton, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, April 6, 2022, at her residence with her family by her side. She was born on November 1, 1923, in Linton, Indiana the daughter of Pete Ray Barton and Mildred Mae (Cox) Barton.

Ida enjoyed spending her time with family and friends, reading, and sewing. She enjoyed playing euchre. In her later years, she could be found shopping on Sundays. She was a member of the Methodist Church in Linton.

She is survived by her children; Brenda Maybaugh of Linton, Phillip Burger (Vicki) Burger of Bloomfield, Terry Burger ( Cheryl) of Austin, Texas, grandchildren; Brad Woods of Linton, Brian Woods of Linton, Lisa Johnson Paul (David) of Illinois, Justin Burger of Florida, Brent Miller of Florida, Vanessa Evans (Tucker) of Bloomfield, Cary Burger of Missouri, Carla Burger of Texas, Clint Burger of Texas, great grandchildren; Caitlyn Burger, Ava Evans, Mia Evans, Zoe Evans, Chase Franklin, great-great grandchildren; Brixlynn Franklin, and extended family and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband; Clarence Burger, her parents; Pete Ray Barton and Mildred Mae (Cox) Barton, and two infant sisters.

Ida’s friends and family will gather to celebrate her life and legacy at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton at a later date.
