Jonathan E. Terrell, 42, of Sullivan, IN passed away at 4:38 A.M. Thursday, May 7, 2026 in his home.

He was born September 12, 1983 in Terre Haute, IN to Terry J. Terrell and Phyllis K. (Lifford) MeJean.

Survivors include his wife of 12 years, Sherrie R. Terrell of Sullivan, IN who he married on March 18, 2014; father, Terry J. Terrell (Lori) of Terre Haute, IN; mother, Phyllis K. MeJean (Brian) of Vicksburg, IN; step-mother, Connie Terrell of Coalmont, IN; siblings, Jennifer Franklin (John) of Shelburn, IN, Jessica L. Terrell of Coalmont, IN, Cody Terrell of Coalmont, IN; aunt, Nancy Terrell of Jasonville, IN; mother & father in-law, Kim Williams (Terry) of Sullivan, IN; brother in-law, Donald LaRue Sr.(Megan) of Sullivan, IN; special friends, Dusty Wildin and Bill Boyd. Many cousins, nieces ad nephews.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Roy “Frog” Terrell, Dorothy Followell-Terrell, maternal grandparents Claude and Naomi Thomas, uncles, Roy Terrell, Louie Terrell, Dan Terrell; brother in-law, Richard R. LaRue Jr.

Jonathan graduated from Shakamak High School class of 2002. He enjoyed fishing, mushroom hunting, playing UNO with his brother, and playing cards., and his beloved dog, Radar, Jonathan had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh, he was the life of the party. He enjoyed listening to television preacher and teacher Les Feldick.

Arrangements are entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana. Visitation is 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday, June 6, 2026 at the funeral home. Services are immediately following at 8 p.m. In keeping with Jonathan’s wishes cremation is scheduled. We have a Celebration of Life scheduled for Saturday June 13th at 1:00 pm at the Sullivan Park shelter house.
