Joe E. Burcham

Joe E. Burcham, 94, of Odon, formerly of Bloomfield passed away Monday November 7, 2022 at Parkview Village in Odon. Born October 6, 1928 in Bloomfield the son of Daniel Wayne Burcham and Algie Berniece (Acton) Burcham.

Joe was retired from Western & Southern Insurance Company, and owned and ran J & J Furniture Refinishing. He was a member of the Bloomfield First Baptist Church, Lions Club and former Board member of Eastern Heights Utilities.

Surviving relatives include his wife of 72 years Jean Burcham, they were married on June 3, 1950; two daughters, Rhonda (Mark) Stremming, Karen (Jim) Perlich, one son, Doug (Rita) Burcham, he has six grandchildren, Brian Stremming, Sara Smith, Jessica Stremming Washington, Bethany Litz, Nichole Arnett and Bailey Prather, thirteen great grandchildren, one sister-in-law, Mary Katherine Burcham and one brother-in-law, Frank Henderson.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, Mary Fuller, Walter Wayne Burcham, Martha Veatch, Martin Burcham and Elizabeth Henderson.

Visitation will be held from 11 A.M. to 2 P.M. on Friday November 11, 2022 at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield.

Service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Rev. Nathan Brooks officiating. Burial will follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery.

The family wishes any memorial donations be made to the Bloomfield First Baptist Church Food Pantry in Joe’s name.
