Jacqueline Sue (Calvert) Newsom, 74, of Worthington, passed away peacefully at her residence on Friday, May 15, 2020. Jackie was born in Linton, Indiana on June 27, 1945 to George "Pete" Calvert and Rosalind (George) Calvert.

Jackie was a 1963 graduate of Worthington High School and married her high school sweetheart, Jerry Lee Newsom on June 11, 1965. Jackie was a faithful member of the Worthington Christian Church. Jackie's world revolved around her family and she loved helping raise her grandsons.

Jackie is survived by her husband, children, Chantel and husband Steve Carpenter, Ingrid and husband Stacey Hill, grandchildren, Trent and wife Alysa Carpenter, Trey Carpenter, Cade and wife Nicole Hill, Conner Hill, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Jackie was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Jim Calvert and sister-in-law, Hazel Calvert.

Private graveside services will be at Worthington Cemetery. Pastor John D. Gossett will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Worthington First Christian Church, through the funeral home.
