Gary L. Pearson

Gary L. Pearson, Bloomfield, passed away Thursday December 17 at home after a fierce battle with cancer. Born March 10, 1952, the son of Dick and Alice (Riggle) Pearson.

Gary was a U.S. Army veteran of the Viet Nam War, he was a member of the American Legion, Amvets, D.A.V. and Bedford Boat and Sportsman Club. His happiest times were spent in the great outdoors with his sons and grandchildren.

Gary is survived by his companion of twenty-two years, Angie Gaw, his father Dick Pearson, son Brian Pearson and grandson Isaac all of Bloomfield, son Jude (Alissa) Pearson, currently serving in the U.S. Navy stationed at Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland, grandchildren Paytyn, Hunter and Elora.

Gary was preceded in death by his mother Alice Pearson.

He wished his ashes be interred at Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Madison, Indiana. No local services will be held.

The family would like to thank the Oncology department at Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center, Intrepid Home Health & Hospice Care, Greene County Veterans Service office, Jenkins Funeral Home and all his friends who were always around to help with unfailing support.
