Gary Elmer Cooksey

Gary Elmer Cooksey, 66, of Solsberry passed away Saturday May 15, 2021 at his residence. Born July 6, 1954 in Linton, Indiana the son of Elmer and Kathleen (Campbell) Cooksey.

Gary was a logger and farmer, he loved dirt racing and the outdoors. Gary was a former member of the Solsberry Masonic Lodge.

Surviving relatives include his three children, Ryan Cooksey, Josh Cooksey and Ashley Hasler (Jack), he has ten grandchildren, two sisters, Connie (Dave) Frye, Kathy Thompson, two nephews, Brian Thompson, Brad Thompson and one niece, Christine Strauser.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 P.M. on Thursday and 10 A.M. Friday until the hour of service all at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield.

Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday at Jenkins Funeral Home with Pastor Kyle Strauser officiating. Burial will follow at Solsberry Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family wishes memorial donations be made to the Riley Children’s Hospital.
