Dorothy Elizabeth Hull

Dorothy Elizabeth Hull, age 92, of Ponte Vedra, Florida entered into the arms of her Lord and Savior peacefully on May 14, 2018, at Starling Assisted Living. She was born November 12, 1925, in Bloomfield, Indiana.

In 1953 Dorothy and her husband Harold Eugene (Gene) Hull founded H&H Motors, the local Bloomfield Ford Dealership that they successfully operated until retiring and then moved to Florida in 1986.

Dorothy was active in the Bloomfield community as a member of the Band Boosters Club, Secretary/Treasurer of the Bloomfield Swimming Pool, member of the Mother’s Club, and a Red Cross Summer Swim Lesson Supervisor, all while helping run the family business and raise two children.

While living in Sun City Center, Florida, Dorothy continued her community involvement as a Sun City Center Pool Monitor for 18 years. She was also a member of the Indiana Club, Aglow Christian Organization, Garden Club, and the Prayer Breakfast Team at Wimauma Church of God where she was a greeter and faithful member for many years.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband Harold Eugene (Gene) Hull, her father and mother, William B and Elsie Strauser (Canada), a sister Hilda Mueller (Lefty) and family member David H Fender.

She is survived by a son, Ronald E Hull (Judy) of Pinehurst, NC and daughter Deborah L Long (Rick) of Ponte Vedra, Fl. She has four grandchildren, Ryan E Hull (Sierra) of Atlanta, GA, Renee C Gay (Christopher) of Panama City Beach, FL, Jessica D Long of Jacksonville, FL, and Amanda M Parker (Billy) of Delray Beach, FL along with three precious great grandchildren, Peyton and Hayden Gay of Panama City Beach, FL, and Caleb Joseph Parker of Delray Beach, Fl.
