Doris J. (Snow) Inman

Doris J (Snow) Inman, 94, went home to be with the Lord on February 4, 2021 at Autumn Trace in Linton, Indiana. Doris was born in Monroe County on November 8, 1926 to Burgess and Florence Nora (Payton) Snow.

She was a graduate of Bloomington High School in 1944. Doris worked for a few years at RCA. On July 26, 1946, she married Loren Inman, and they had one daughter Patricia Ann. They lived on a farm in Monroe County and later moved to Greene County.

Doris was a member of the Bloomfield First Christian Church where she was a member of the church choir. She volunteered for several years at Glenburn Nursing Home and Community Center, and in 2006 she was awarded “Volunteer of the Year” for the State of Indiana.

Doris always had a big smile and gave the best hugs. She enjoyed doing crafts and also made many beautiful quilts that she gave to several family members and friends. Her smile and warmth will be remembered forever.

Doris is survived by her sisters Rebecca Isabelle Voorhies of Albertville, Alabama and Wilma Jean Chestnut of Switz City, Indiana. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Doris is preceded in death by her parents; her husband (2005); her daughter (2005); sister Hattie Joan Stannard (1980); brothers Roger Snow (2007) and John Snow (2012).

A private graveside service will be held on February 10th at 1:00 p.m. at Valhalla Memory Gardens in Bloomington, Indiana.
