Connie Sue (Workman) Wright
/Connie Sue (Workman) Wright, age 84, of Linton, passed away at 2:52 a.m. Thursday, December 7, 2022, at Glenburn Nursing Home with her loving family by her side. She was born on April 14, 1938, the daughter of Lowell Curtis Workman and Myrtle (Fredrick) Workman.
Connie worked alongside her husband at Jim’s West Side IGA and was a homemaker caring for her family most of her life. She was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church in Vicksburg. She loved her family, enjoyed taking care of her children and grandchildren and was truly a lifetime partner to her husband.
Survivors include her three sons, J. Kirk Wright & his wife, Kathy, of Linton, J. Ken W. Wright & his wife, Tammy, of Linton, & Jay Kevin Wright & his wife, Michelle, of Linton; a daughter, Jill K. Phegley & her husband, Jerry, of Linton; nine grandchildren, Justus Kirk Wright & Tina Wright, Justin Kirk Wright, Shandi Wilson & her husband Andy, Keshia Buskirk, Jathan Wright & his wife Krystal, Abby Wright, Molly Wright, Zachary Phegley, Zoie Phegley; thirteen great-grandchildren, Trevor Ray Wright & Hannah, Josey Kirk Wright, Gracie Kyla, J. Kirk Wright, Azaia Felker, Jimmie K. Wright, E’rie Buskirk, Draven Buskirk, Aiden Wilson, Adley Wilson, Jayne Wright, Morgan Campbell, Ellie Campbell; great-great-grandchildren, Chevelle Wright, Ellie Wright; extended grandchildren, Leora, Taylor, Maddie, Jayden; brother, Norman Workman of Florida, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, loving husband; Jimmie K. Wright, whom she married on December 11, 1955, and sister-in-law, Judie Workman.
Funeral services will be held at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton on Monday, December 12, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Doug Cassel officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Linton.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, December 11, 2022, from 4:00-8:00 p.m. and Monday at 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
The Wright family would like to extend a special Thank You to the entire staff at Glenburn Nursing Home in the “Special Care Unit” and the I.U. Health Bloomington House for their wonderful care their mother received.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Linton Stockton Athletic Department or the Bethel Baptist Church Radio Station WYTJ.
