Charles “Chuck” Helms

Charles “Chuck” Helms, 95, of Bloomfield passed away Wednesday August 20, 2025 at his residence surrounded by his family. Born April 15, 1930 in Bloomfield the son of the late Charles Lester Helms and Ruth (Edwards) Helms.

Charles or “Chuck” as everyone knew him was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, farming and family was a way of life for Chuck; he was a member of the Walnut Grove Church of God.

Surviving relatives include his wife, Dorothy Helms, three children, Marvin (Trema) Helms, Roger (Jane) Helms, Sherry (Jay) Terrell, his grandchildren, Kylee (John) Bucher, Nathan (Brittany) Helms, Miranda (Doug) Dayhoff, Brittany (Dustin) Haywood, Graham (Audra) Helms, Jesse (Shelby) Helms, his great grandchildren, Brooklyn, Brianna, Bristol, Emersyn, Braylon, Daxton, Anna, Ella, Addison, Ainsley, Asher, Elle, P.J., one sister-in-law, Wilma Helms and several nieces and nephews.

Chuck was preceded in death by one brother, William “Bill” Helms, one infant sister and his parents.

Visitation will be held on Saturday August 23, 2025 from 12 P.M. to 2 P.M. at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield.

Services will be held on Saturday at 2:00 P.M. at Jenkins Funeral Home with Rev. Bob England and Rev. Erin Raper officiating. Burial will follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery.

The family ask that any memorial donations in Charles name be given to the Walnut Grove Church of God or the Walnut Grove cemetery.
