Carolyn Sue Bennett, 85, of Linton, Indiana, went to Heaven on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at Glenburn Nursing Home in Linton. She was born on July 21, 1940, in Greene County, Indiana to Lester and Catherine Berniece (Denman) Bennett.

Sue attended Linton First Christian Church. She was a graduate of the Linton-Stockton High School, Class of ’59. Sue had a degree in Bible and Doctrine through the Assembly of God Church and attended Ivy Tech for computers. She worked on the assembly line for Thomson (RCA), retiring in 2000 with 34 years of service and then was employed at the Linton Daily Citizen for several years. Sue was a wonderful seamstress who spent much of her leisure time with a needle in hand crocheting, sewing and anything else to do with needle work. She was an avid reader as well.

Family left to cherish the memories of Sue include her son, John O. Bennett of Linton; several nieces and nephews.

Sue was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services to honor the life of Sue will be at 1:00 PM on Thursday, July 23, 2026, at Anderson-Poindexter Chapel in Linton with Warren Shake officiating. Sue will be laid to rest in Fairview Cemetery in Linton.

Family and friends may call from 11:00 AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Pregnancy Choices in Linton or the Alzheimer’s Association. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
