Beverly Dale, age 83, of Linton, passed away peacefully at 8:10 pm on Sunday, March 29, 2026, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Linton, IN on November 1, 1942, the daughter of Samuel & Dorothy (Nolting) Hoffeditz.

She was a graduate of Switz City Central High School. She was the co-owner of B&R Enterprises with her husband Raymond Dale for several years where she loved to help him with the home renovations on their properties. She attended Nine Mile Christian Church while she was growing up and later in life she became a member of Fellowship Baptist Church of Linton and was a former member of the Indiana Poets Association. Beverly enjoyed writing, reading, crocheting, sewing and watching the different animals come by the house each day. She was such an animal lover and always looked forward to watching the hummingbirds outside. Her pride and joy was her grandson and she loved hearing about his adventures.

Beverly is survived by her loving daughter, Geneann Dale of Linton; grandson, Jayden (Rileigh Verkamp) Dale of Linton; sister-in-law, Jo Hoffeditz; niece, Tanya Dale; nephews, David Hoffeditz, Darren Hoffeditz and James Hoffeditz; life long friend, Judith Wonder as well as several cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Raymond Dale; brother, Edwin "Ed" Hoffeditz; infant sister; and nephew, Kenneth Hoffeditz.

Funeral service will be held at 12:00 Noon at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton of Walton Funeral Service, Inc, on Friday, April 3, 2026 with Pastor Phillip Turner officiating. Burial will follow at in Switz City Cemetery in Switz City, IN.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, April 2, 2026 from 4:00-7:00 pm, and Friday from 11:00 am until the time of service.
