New entries on the morning Jail Log at the Greene County Sheriff’s Department on Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2026:

Jan. 27, 2:34 p.m., Thomas Patrick Gordon, 53, Evansville, was arrested on a warrant for theft. No bond was allowed. 

Jan. 27, 10:08 p.m., Crystal Lynn Curnett, 44, Linton, was arrested on preliminary charges of battery committed with a deadly weapon, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of paraphernalia. No bond was allowed.

Defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Individuals are booked into jail on warrants issued by courts or on “preliminary charges” based on recommendations of investigating or arresting officers. Charges may change when a new case is filed in court by the prosecutor who reviews the case and makes the charging decision.
