New entries on the morning Jail Log at the Greene County Sheriff’s Department on Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2025:

Aug. 26, 1:13 p.m., David Spencer Johnson, 33, Bloomfield, was arrested on a warrant for driving while suspended with a prior suspension within 10 years and  possession with a Schedule II, III, and IV controlled substance, On those charges, no bond was allowed. He was also arrested on a warrant for driving while suspended with a prior suspension within 10 years. On that charge, his bond was set at $5,000 surety with 10% cash allowed. 

Aug. 26, 3:50 p.m., William Nickels Hutcherson, Jr., 64, Bloomfield, was arrested on preliminary charges of dealing methamphetamine and possession of methamphetamine. No bond was allowed. 

Aug. 26, 4 p.m., Tristan Allen Hutcherson, 51, Bedford, was arrested on a preliminary charge of possession of methamphetamine. No bond was allowed. 

Aug. 27, 5:39 a.m., Vanessa Lynn Pursell, 43, Crane, was arrested on a warrant for dealing methamphetamine. No bond was allowed.

Defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Individuals are booked into jail on warrants issued by courts or on “preliminary charges” based on recommendations of investigating or arresting officers. Charges may change when a new case is filed in court by the prosecutor who reviews the case and makes the charging decision.
