New entries on the morning Jail Log at the Greene County Sheriff’s Department on Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2025:

Oct. 10, 11:23 p.m., James Dewayne Colson, II, 40, Solsberry, was arrested on a warrant for possession of methamphetamine and theft. On the first charge, no bond was allowed, but on the second charge, a bond of $4,000 surety with 10% was allowed. 

Nov. 11, 11:43 p.m., Shane Michael Goodwill, 31, Clay City, was arrested on preliminary charges of battery, battery against a public safety official engaged in official duty, and resisting law enforcement causing bodily injury. No bond was allowed.

Defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Individuals are booked into jail on warrants issued by courts or on “preliminary charges” based on recommendations of investigating or arresting officers. Charges may change when a new case is filed in court by the prosecutor who reviews the case and makes the charging decision.
