New entries on the morning Jail Log at the Greene County Sheriff’s Department on Friday, Jan. 5, 2024:

Jan. 4, 5:14 PM, Gerald Lee Phillips, Jr., 51, Lyons, was arrested on a warrant for invasion of privacy. No bond was allowed. Linton Police Department Officer Jerrad Pirtle was the arresting officer.

Defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Individuals are booked into jail on warrants issued by courts or on “preliminary charges” based on recommendations of investigating or arresting officers. Charges may change when a new case is filed in court by the prosecutor who reviews the case and makes the charging decision.
