New entries on the morning Jail Log at the Greene County Sheriff’s Department on Monday, Sept. 11, 2023:

Sept. 9, 8:55 PM, Kaine Antony Willhoite, 34, Owensburg, was arrested on a preliminary charge of possession of cocaine or a narcotic drug. No bond was allowed. Linton Police Department Officer Davis Aerne was the arresting officer. 

Sept. 10, 8:43 PM, Steven Lee Samora, 39, Bloomfield, was arrested on a preliminary charge of criminal trespass. His bond was set at $1,000 surety with 10% cash allowed.

Defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Individuals are booked into jail on warrants issued by courts or on “preliminary charges” based on recommendations of investigating or arresting officers. Charges may change when a new case is filed in court by the prosecutor who reviews the case and makes the charging decision.
