New entries on the morning Jail Log at the Greene County Sheriff’s Department on Wednesday, February 1, 2023:

February 1, 2023, 3:43 AM, Amanda Lynn West, 43, Clay City, Indiana, was arrested on new preliminary charges of felony possession of a syringe and possession of methamphetamine. She was being held without bond pending court appearance. Jasonville Police Officer Skylar Scott was the arresting officer.

Defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Individuals are booked into jail on warrants issued by courts or on “preliminary charges” based on recommendations of investigating or arresting officers. Charges may change when a new case is filed in court by the prosecutor who reviews the case and makes the charging decision.
