New entries on the morning Jail Log at the Greene County Sheriff’s Department on Friday, Nov. 17, 2023:

Nov. 16, 8:39 AM, Chandra Kay Day, 46, Jasonville, was arrested on a warrant for possession of a controlled substance – marijuana/hash oil/hashish/salvia. No bond was allowed. 

Nov. 16, 5:07 AM, Megan Michelle Gentry, 38, Lyons, was arrested on a warrant for operating a vehicle while intoxicated – endangerment. No bond was allowed. Greene County Sheriff’s Department Sgt. Jordan Allor was the arresting officer. 

Nov. 16, 10:10 PM, William Ray Secrest, 49, Linton, was arrested on preliminary charges of battery with an unrelated prior conviction and confinement. His bond was set at $14,000 with 10% cash allowed. Jasonville Police Department Officer Skylar Scott was the arresting officer.

Defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Individuals are booked into jail on warrants issued by courts or on “preliminary charges” based on recommendations of investigating or arresting officers. Charges may change when a new case is filed in court by the prosecutor who reviews the case and makes the charging decision.
