New entries on the morning Jail Log at the Greene County Sheriff’s Department on Thursday, January 5, 2023:

January 4, 2023, 12:30 PM, Robert Lester Grantham Jr, 54, Washington, Indiana, was arrested on a warrant issued on new charges of felony strangulation and sexual battery, and misdemeanor domestic battery and interference in the reporting of a crime. His bond was set at $10,000 surety with 10% casual allowed. He posted $1000 and was released later the same day. Bloomfield Deputy Marshal Ryan Montgomery was the arresting officer.

January 4, 2023, 3:56 PM, Jeffrey Marshall Smith, 52, Linton, Indiana, was arrested on a warrant issued on new charges of felony residential entry and misdemeanor battery resulting in moderate bodily injury. He was also taken into custody on new preliminary charges of felony possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanor possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia. In this new case he was being held without bond pending court appearance. Bloomfield Deputy Marshal Ryan Montgomery was the arresting officer.
