New entries on the morning Jail Log at the Greene County Sheriff’s Department on Thursday, August 11, 2022:

August 10, 2022, 11:39 PM, Paul Edward Day, 39, Jasonville, Indiana, was arrested on a new preliminary charge of misdemeanor driving while suspended with a prior suspension within 10 years. His bond was set at $1000 surety with 10% cash allowed. He posted $100 and was released on August 11. Linton Police Officer Cayden Walker was the arresting officer.

August 11, 2022, 8:35 AM, Gary Dale Deckard, 61, Bloomfield, Indiana, was arrested on a warrant issued or a petition to revoke a suspended sentence for felony possession of methamphetamine. He was being held without bond.

Individuals are booked into jail on warrants issued by courts or on “preliminary charges” based on recommendations of investigating or arresting officers. Charges may change when a new case is filed in court by the prosecutor who reviews the case and makes the charging decision.
