New entries on the morning Jail Log at the Greene County Sheriff’s Department on Wednesday, April 6, 2022:

April 5, 2022, 10:36 AM—Blake Evan Byers, 32, Bloomfield, was booked into jail on a work release violation in connection with a case involving felony domestic battery in the presence of a child. He was being held without bond.

April 5, 2022, 12:19 PM—Brandon Tyler Robinson, 39, Greenup, Ill., was arrested on a warrant issued on a petition to revoke bond in a case involving felony auto theft and misdemeanor possession of marijuana. He was being held without bond.

Defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Individuals are booked into jail on warrants issued by courts or on “preliminary charges” based on recommendations of investigating or arresting officers. Charges may change when a new case is filed in court by the prosecutor who reviews the case and makes the charging decision.
