New entries on the morning Jail Log at the Greene County Sheriff’s Department on Thursday, April 21, 2022:

April 20, 2022, 10:20 AM, Joshua Tobias Cox, 38, Paris, Illinois, was arrested on a warrant issued for failure to appear in a case involving felony possession of syringe and misdemeanor criminal trespassing. His bond was set at $5000 surety with 10% cash allowed.

April 20, 2022, 2:03 PM, Bradley Eugene Sparks, 46, Linton, Indiana, was arrested on new preliminary charges of felony strangulation and misdemeanor domestic battery. His bond was set at $5000 surety with 10% cash allowed. Linton police Lieutenant Logan Hobbs was the arresting officer.

Defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Individuals are booked into jail on warrants issued by courts or on “preliminary charges” based on recommendations of investigating or arresting officers. Charges may change when a new case is filed in court by the prosecutor who reviews the case and makes the charging decision.
