New entries on the morning Jail Log at the Greene County Sheriff’s Department on Wednesday, March 30, 2022:

March 28, 2022, 11:11 p.m. -  Cody Dale Holmes, 23, Linton, was arrested on a new preliminary charge of misdemeanor leaving the scene of a property damage crash. His bond was set at $500 surety with 10% cash allowed. He posted $50 and was released later the same day. Linton Police Officer Alan Jackson was the arresting officer.

March 29, 2022, 10:08 p.m. -Jalen Matthew Swaby, 21, Bloomfield, was arrested on new preliminary charges of felony domestic battery and misdemeanor disorderly conduct. His bond was set at $8500 surety with 10% cash allowed. Bloomfield Police Lieutenant Marvin Holt was the arresting officer.

Defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Individuals are booked into jail on warrants issued by courts or on “preliminary charges” based on recommendations of investigating or arresting officers. Charges may change when a new case is filed in court by the prosecutor who reviews the case and makes the charging decision.
