New entries on the morning Jail Log at the Greene County Sheriff’s Department on Friday, December 30, 2022:

December 29, 2022, 3:35 PM, Alicia Marie Campbell, 35, Jasonville, Indiana, was arrested on a new preliminary charge of felony domestic battery. Her bond was set at $4000 surety with 10% cash allowed. She posted $400 and was released on December 30. Linton Police Detective Logan Hobbs was the arresting officer.

December 29, 2022, 4:51 PM, Isaac James Chastain, 34, Bloomfield, Indiana, was arrested on a warrant issued on new charges of felony theft and misdemeanor theft. His bond was set at $5000 surety with 10% cash allowed. He posted $500 and was released later the same day.

Defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Individuals are booked into jail on warrants issued by courts or on “preliminary charges” based on recommendations of investigating or arresting officers. Charges may change when a new case is filed in court by the prosecutor who reviews the case and makes the charging decision.
