New entries on the morning Jail Log at the Greene County Sheriff’s Department on Tuesday, December 20, 2022:

December 19, 2022, 10:42 AM, Roger Dale Lewis, 63, was arrested on two warrants issued out of another county, one for failure to appear in a misdemeanor case and the other for a probation violation in a felony case. He was being held without bond. Greene County Sheriff's Deputy Zachary Goad was the arresting officer.

December 19, 2022, 1:20 PM, Forest Tyler Bodine, 19, Jasonville, Indiana, was arrested on new preliminary charges of felony strangulation and misdemeanor domestic battery and intimidation. His bond was set at $6000 surety with 10% cash allowed. He posted $600 and was released on December 20. Linton Police Officer Davis Aerne was the arresting officer.

December 20, 2022, 5:31 AM, Theodore James Miller, 40, Linton, Indiana, was arrested on new preliminary charges of misdemeanor possession of paraphernalia and disorderly conduct. His bond was set at $1000 surety with 10% cash allowed. Linton Police Officer Janzen Franklin was the arresting officer.

Individuals are booked into jail on warrants issued by courts or on “preliminary charges” based on recommendations of investigating or arresting officers. Charges may change when a new case is filed in court by the prosecutor who reviews the case and makes the charging decision.
