New entries on the morning Jail Log at the Greene County Sheriff’s Department on Wednesday, December 2, 2020:

December 1, 3:23 p.m. – Aaron Wayne Evans, 33, Linton, Ind., was arrested on a warrant issued on a motion to revoke bond in a case involving felony strangulation and misdemeanor domestic battery, driving while suspended with a prior within 10 years and operating a vehicle without receiving a license. He was being held without bond. Linton Police Officer Orry Phipps was the arresting officer.

Defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Individuals are booked into jail on warrants issued by courts or on “preliminary charges” based on recommendations of investigating or arresting officers. Charges may change when a new case is filed in court by the prosecutor who reviews the case and makes the charging decision.
