UPDATE: The Spillman system at the sheriff’s department and for all law enforcement in the county crashed last week. Although time for full restoration is unknown, the system is now operating with a lot of limitations. A standard jail log was issued this morning but not all mug shots are available yet. We’ll add them into logs and stories as we get them, but we’ll remain patient until their system gets back to normal.

New entries on the morning Jail Log at the Greene County Sheriff’s Department on Thursday, January 16, 2020:

January 15, 12:56 p.m. – Carry Joe Cassidy, 33, Bloomfield, Ind., was arrested on a warrant issued on preliminary charges of felony operating a vehicle while intoxicated with a passenger less than 18 years old and misdemeanor operating a vehicle while intoxicated. His bond was set at $8,000 surety with ten percent cash allowed. He posted $800 and was released later the same day.

January 15, 1:40 p.m. – Eric Joseph Townsend, 34, Newberry, Ind., was arrested on a new preliminary charge of misdemeanor domestic battery. His bond was set at $1,000 surety with ten percent cash allowed. Greene County Sheriff’s Deputy Harvey Holt was the arresting officer.

January 15, 10:49 p.m. – Troy Dale Connell Jr., 39, Linton, Ind., was arrested on a warrant issued out of another county for failure to appear. He was being held without bond. Linton Police Officer Adam King was the arresting officer.
