New entries on the morning Jail Log at the Greene County Sheriff’s Department on Wednesday, September 11, 2019:

September 10, 2:56 p.m. – Dalton Wade Purvis, 26, Jasonville, Ind., was arrested on warrants issued in two cases for failure to appear, one in a case involving misdemeanor domestic battery, the other in a case involving misdemeanor possession of marijuana. His bond in each case was set at $5,000 surety with ten percent cash allowed. Greene County Sheriff’s Deputy David Elmore was the arresting officer.

September 11, 1:15 a.m. – Jeramie Jason Myers, 42, Linton, Ind., was arrested on a Writ of Attachment. His bond was set at $500 cash only. Greene County Sheriff’s Sgt. Bobby Pierce was the arresting officer.

Defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Individuals are booked into jail on warrants issued by courts or on “preliminary charges” based on recommendations of investigating or arresting officers. Charges may change when a new case is filed in court by the prosecutor who reviews the case and makes the charging decision.
