New entries on the morning Jail Log at the Greene County Sheriff’s Department on Tuesday, September 10, 2019:

September 10, 12:34 a.m. – Nicole Leann Burnette, 34, Springville, Ind., was arrested on new preliminary charges of felony possession of methamphetamine and possession of a legend drug, and misdemeanor possession of paraphernalia. She was being held without bond. Greene County Sheriff’s Deputy David Elmore was the arresting officer.

Defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Individuals are booked into jail on warrants issued by courts or on “preliminary charges” based on recommendations of investigating or arresting officers. Charges may change when a new case is filed in court by the prosecutor who reviews the case and makes the charging decision.
