New entries on the morning Jail Log at the Greene County Sheriff’s Department on Wednesday, December 18, 2019:

December 17, 3:47 p.m. – Timothy Joseph Long, 49, Bloomfield, Ind., was arrested on a warrant issued out of Hancock County in a case involving felony check deception. He was being held without bond. Greene County Sheriff’s Det. Shawn Cullison was the arresting officer.

December 17, 5:50 p.m. – Shannon Elaine Forker, 32, Jasonville, Ind., was arrested on two warrants, one on preliminary charges of felony possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanor possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia, the other warrant on a petition to revoke a suspended sentence on a conviction of felony possession of methamphetamine. She was being held without bond.

Defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Individuals are booked into jail on warrants issued by courts or on “preliminary charges” based on recommendations of investigating or arresting officers. Charges may change when a new case is filed in court by the prosecutor who reviews the case and makes the charging decision.
