New entries on the morning Jail Log at the Greene County Sheriff’s Department on Tuesday, December 17, 2019:

December 16, 11:19 a.m. – Michael Lee Campbell, 44, Bloomfield, Ind., was arrested on new preliminary charges of misdemeanor theft and criminal trespassing. His bond was set at $2,000 surety with ten percent cash allowed. He posted $200 and was released later the same day. Linton Police Officer Orry Phipps was the arresting officer.

Defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Individuals are booked into jail on warrants issued by courts or on “preliminary charges” based on recommendations of investigating or arresting officers. Charges may change when a new case is filed in court by the prosecutor who reviews the case and makes the charging decision.
