New entries on the morning Jail Log at the Greene County Sheriff’s Department on Wednesday, January 9, 2019:

  • January 8, 4:52 p.m. – Kristi Lynn Vester, 41, Bloomfield, Ind., was arrested on a warrant issued on a preliminary charge of possession of a firearm in a school, a Level 6 felony. She was being held without bond. Bloomfield Deputy Marshal Wayman JR Blazier was the arresting officer.

  • January 9, 2:27 a.m. – Jeffery Wayne Brashier, 52, Lyons, Ind., was arrested on preliminary charges of misdemeanor domestic battery and possession of paraphernalia. His bond was set at $1,500 surety with ten percent cash allowed.

  • January 9, 5:05 a.m. – Bruce Gene Shryock, 26, Jasonville, Ind., was arrested on preliminary charges of felony intimidation and misdemeanor resisting law enforcement. His bond was set at $5,000 surety with ten percent cash allowed. Linton Police Officer Orry Phipps was the arresting officer.

Defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Individuals are booked into jail on warrants issued by courts or on “preliminary charges” based on recommendations of investigating or arresting officers. Charges may change when a new case is filed in court by the prosecutor who reviews the case and makes the charging decision.
