New entries on the morning Jail Log at the Greene County Sheriff’s Department on Tuesday, January 8, 2019:

  • January 7, 11:14 a.m. – Jeremy D. Cox, 38, Shelbyville, Ind., was arrested on a warrant issued for failure to appear at a change of plea and sentencing hearing in a case involving felony possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanor possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia. He was being held without bond. Greene County Sheriff’s Deputy Terry Wade was the arresting officer.

  • January 8, 1:12 a.m. – Fred Richard Lammert III, 32, Indianapolis, Ind., was arrested on a warrant issued for failure to appear in a case involving felony theft. His bond was set at $5,000 surety with ten percent allowed. Greene County Sheriff’s Deputy Davis Aerne was the arresting officer.

Defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Individuals are booked into jail on warrants issued by courts or on “preliminary charges” based on recommendations of investigating or arresting officers. Charges may change when a new case is filed in court by the prosecutor who reviews the case and makes the charging decision.
