Greene County Jail Log

New arrests on the morning Jail Log at the Greene County Sheriff’s Department:

  • Mickey Reese Joyce, Jr., 28, Indianapolis, Ind., was arrested on a warrant issued for failure to appear at an initial hearing in a case involving misdemeanor driving while suspended and operating a vehicle without ever having received a license. His bond was set at $5,000 surety with ten percent allowed. He was released later the same day after posting bond. Greene County Jail Commander Ken Conolty was the arresting officer.
  • April 14 – Kevin Douglas Linthicum, 48, Bloomfield, Ind., was arrested on preliminary charges of misdemeanor driving while suspended – second offense, operating a vehicle while intoxicated, and leaving the scene of an accident involving personal injury. His bond was set at $2,000 surety with ten percent allowed. He was released on April 15 after posting bond. Greene County Sheriff’s Deputy Anthony Pope was the arresting officer.
  • April 14 – Michael Paul Kefauver, 38, Bloomfield, Ind., was arrested on a preliminary charge of felony possession of methamphetamine. He was being held without bond. Indiana State Police Trooper Caleb Garvin was the arresting officer.
  • April 16 – Michelle Lynne Haldeman, 54, Linton, Ind., was arrested on a warrant issued on preliminary charges of felony theft and misdemeanor theft. Her bond was set at $5,000 surety with ten percent allowed. She was released later the same day after posting bond. Greene County Jail Officer Steve Dobson was the arresting officer.

Defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Individuals are booked into jail on warrants issued by courts or on “preliminary charges” based on recommendations of investigating or arresting officers. Charges may change when a new case is filed in court by the prosecutor who reviews the case and makes the charging decision.
