New arrests on the morning Jail Log at the Greene County Sheriff’s Department:

• January 8 – Darrell Martin Hildum, 27, Bloomington, Ind., was arrested on a warrant issued on preliminary charges of felony auto theft – receiving stolen property, and misdemeanor theft. His bond was set at $8,000 surety with ten percent cash allowed. Greene County Sheriff’s Jail Officer Darren McDonald was the arresting officer.
• January 8 – Jerad D. Rose, Sr., 47, Jasonville, Ind., was arrested on a warrant issued on a preliminary charge of misdemeanor leaving the scene of an accident involving personal injury. He was being held without bond. Jasonville Assistant Police Chief Ryan Van Horn was the arresting officer.
• January 8 – Anthony Lee Minks, 33, Bloomfield, Ind., was arrested on a warrant issued on a preliminary charge of felony fraud. His bond was set at $10,000 surety with ten percent cash allowed. He was released on January 9 after posting bond. Indiana State Police Trooper Caleb Garvin was the arresting officer.

Defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Individuals are booked into jail on warrants issued by courts or on “preliminary charges” based on recommendations of investigating or arresting officers. Charges may change when a new case is filed in court by the prosecutor who reviews the case and makes the charging decision.
