The Town of Worthington is accepting applications for a full-time police officer with the Worthington Police Department.

The position offers a starting salary of $52,000 along with a benefits package that includes a take-home patrol vehicle, health insurance at no cost to the employee, floating holidays and vacation time earned after the first year of employment.

Applicants must meet several minimum qualifications, including:

Be a United States citizen.
Be at least 21 years old.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent recognized by the State of Indiana.
Hold a valid driver's license with a strong driving record.
Have no felony convictions or serious misdemeanor convictions.
Be willing to undergo a criminal background and character investigation, physical examination, fingerprinting and, if required, a written examination and driving test.
Have a verifiable history of good employment.
Be willing to work any shift and appear before members of the Worthington Police Department and/or the Worthington Town Council during the hiring process.
