Work starts Friday on signal modernization and curb ramps on SR 54 in Linton
/GREENE COUNTY, Ind. – The Indiana Department of Transportation announces lane restrictions for State Road 54 in Linton for multiple repairs.
Beginning on or around Friday, Feb. 11, contractors will begin working in the area between S.R. 59 and Camelot Drive. Lane restrictions will be intermittent as they work to modernize the traffic signal at S.R. 54 and NE 12th Street. Following this operation, crews will build curb ramps in the work area. The final phase of this project is to mill and repave SR 54 from SR 59 to Camelot Drive.
The majority of the lane restrictions will take place during the final mill and repave phase of the project. Work is expected to last until the end of May depending upon weather conditions. During the operation, lane closures will be controlled by flaggers and a work zone speed limit will be in place. Vehicles wider than 11 feet will need to seek an alternate route using the nearest state maintained roads.
INDOT urges drivers to slow down and stay alert near crews.
