A 52-year-old Solsberry woman was arrested on May 6 for trespassing after allegedly failing to leave a property after being asked three times.

Deputy Devan Goad of the Greene County Sheriff’s Department arrested Julie Gail Johnson on a charge of criminal trespassing, a Class A Misdemeanor, after responding to an incident at the Word of Life Fellowship Church. A caller contacted Greene County Dispatch stating her parents were at the church and a female – later identified as Johnson – was at the location screaming about the rapture and how everyone was going to die.

When Deputy Goad arrived at the church, the caller and her parents were there as well as Johnson. One of the witnesses on scene told Deputy Goad he was unable to help Johnson because she alleged she was the risen Christ and called him “Beelzebub”. He said there was a meeting at the church that evening and Johnson would make trouble. When asked if they had asked Johnson to leave the premises, they said she had been asked three times to vacate the property.

Deputy Goad explained to Johnson that she was not welcome on the property. According to the probable cause affidavit prepared by Deputy Goad, Johnson said she was not going to leave because it was her father’s house. Deputy Goad allegedly told her she had to leave or she would be arrested for trespassing.

While en route to Greene County Jail, Deputy Goad wrote in the probable cause that Johnson kept talking about the rapture and religion. According to the probable cause, Deputy Goad asked Johnson if she had taken any illegal drugs or narcotics as he had seen Narcan in her vehicle. She alleged she had not consumed any drugs, just the holy god. She told Deputy Goad the Narcan was for her friends in case any of them die. She alleged she has been raised up from the dead many times.

Johnson was booked into Greene County Jail at 2:05 p.m. with bond set at $1,000 surety with 10% allowed.

She is scheduled to appear in Greene Superior Court for an initial hearing on May 11.
