Warming centers open as cold weather sets in

As dangerously cold temperatures are forecast for Greene County this weekend, several public libraries will serve as designated warming centers to provide residents with a safe place to stay warm.

According to Greene County Emergency Management, the following warming centers will be open during regular library hours:

Linton Public Library

Hours: Monday and Wednesday, 10 a.m.–6 p.m.; Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, 10 a.m.–5 p.m.; Saturday, 10 a.m.–3 p.m.

Jasonville Public Library

Hours: Monday and Wednesday, 1–7 p.m.; Saturday, 9 a.m.–5 p.m.

Bloomfield Public Library
