Siepman elected as Mayor of Jasonville

The people have voted and Eric Siepman has been named the City of Jasonville’s mayor. 

Siepman, a Republican, defeated former Democrat mayor Roy Terrell, Sr. Siepan tallied 227 votes, while Terrell collected 63. 

In other contested races, incumbent Jane Landry, a Democrat, defeated Republican Nicole Stevenson. Landry collected 201 votes, while Stevenson had 82, 

For the city council at large seat, incumbent Brad Duncan, a Democrat, defeated Republican Eddie Pena. Duncan received 213 votes, while Pena collected 70.

Other city council races were unopposed. Serving another four years on the council include Republican Kent May, representing Ward 1, Democrat Kelly Portteus, representing Ward 2, and Democrat Peggy Sluder, representing Ward 3. Newcomer Kathy May, a Republican, will represent Ward 4.
