Sheriff's Department seeking applicants for dispatcher positions

The Greene County Sheriff’s Department is accepting applications for full-time dispatch positions.

The agency is seeking applicants who are at least 21 years old, possess a high school diploma or GED, hold a valid Indiana driver's license with a demonstrated safe driving record and have a clean criminal history.

The position offers a starting annual salary of $48,692, or $23.41 per hour.

In addition to competitive pay, the sheriff’s department offers a benefits package that includes paid training, paid time off, retirement benefits, healthcare benefits, longevity-based tier pay and access to an on-site 24-hour fitness center.

Emergency dispatchers answer 911 calls, coordinate emergency response efforts and communicate with law enforcement, fire departments and emergency medical services throughout Greene County.
