According to Deputy Carpenter, Mowry had swelling on her left shin and right knee but she refused medical treatment.

Carpenter was assisted on the scene by GCSD deputies, the Greene County Ambulance Service, Switz City Fire Department, Indiana State Police and Skinner Towing.
