Lyons couple arrested, facing drug charges in Lawrence and Greene counties

A Lyons couple wanted on warrants from Lawrence County involving drug charges are now facing new charges in Greene County. They were arrested very early Monday.

Sasha Nichole Vincent, 29, and Shyler Dale Vincent, 30, both from Lyons, were arrested early Tuesday, November 3, by Indiana State Police Trooper Chance Humphrey. Sasha Vincent was booked into the Greene County Jail at 1:34 a.m. Shyler was booked in at 2:38 a.m. Both were being held without bond pending court appearances.

Both Sasha Vincent and Shyler Vincent were wanted on warrants that were issued for their arrests in Lawrence County. Both cases involved charges of possession of methamphetamine and controlled substances.

Late Monday night, November 2. Trooper Humphrey, the investigating officer, along with Trooper Richard Klun, arrived at the Vincent residence on South Meridian Street in Lyons to serve the warrants.

After they knocked on the door, Shyler Vincent answered and was taken into custody. Officers entered the residence and Sasha was detained but was placed on a couch because she had two children and was allowed to call a family member to come to the house to get the children.

Both Vincents consented to a search of their residence and were then transported to jail.

Trooper Humphrey reported that during the search, items that were found in a bedroom and the kitchen included methamphetamine and various paraphernalia.

Both Vincents are facing preliminary charges of:

  • Possession of methamphetamine, a Level 6 felony,

  • Possession of paraphernalia, a Class C misdemeanor,

  • Visiting or maintaining a common nuisance, a Level 6 felony, and

  • Neglect of a dependent – places dependent in a situation that endangers the dependent, a Level 6 felony.
